Samuel T. Melillo, Principal
Sam Melillo is a graduate of Rutgers - The State University, College of Agricultural and Environmental Science, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture. He also received a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture (MLA) from the Graduate School of Design, University of Massachusetts. His professional experience includes work with the firm of Jerome Morley Larson Assoc., Architects, Patrick M. Gilvary, Architects and Planners, and Zion and Breen Assoc., Inc. Landscape Architects and Site Planners where he was an Associate for three years prior to forming Melillo & Bauer Associates in 1979. Sam has been an adjunct professor at Rutgers University Cook College Department of Landscape Architecture and is a member in the American Society of Landscape Architecture. He is a Certified Landscape Architect in the State of New Jersey, a Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of New York, and a Professional Planner in the State of New Jersey.
Thomas B. Bauer, Principal
Tom Bauer is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University College of Arts and Architecture where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture. His professional experience includes work with the firm of Zion and Breen Associates prior to starting Melillo & Bauer Associates in 1979. Tom has been recognized for his design excellence and has garnered over 20 awards for notable projects such as The Palisades in Ft. Lee, NJ; Avalon at Edgewater in Edgewater, NJ; The Shipyard in Hoboken, NJ; and The Enclave in Atlantic City, to name few. Tom is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and was the 1995 President of the New Jersey Chapter (NJASLA). He is also a visiting critic at Penn State University and Rutgers University. Tom maintains an active membership in the Urban Land Institute and the American Planning Society. Tom is a Certified Landscape Architect in the State of New Jersey and a Licensed Landscape Architect in Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
Thomas S. Carman, Principal
Tom Carman is a graduate of Rutgers - The State University, Cook College where he received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design / Landscape Architecture. In addition, Tom has an Associates Degree in Landscape Development from the State University of New York- Cobleskill. While at Cook College, he was one of fourteen students selected by the firm EDAW, after a nationwide competition, for a summer student program focusing on the Seattle Commons Park Masterplan. Tom was given an Honor Award for design excellence in 1993 for student works by the American Society of Landscape Architects, New Jersey Chapter. He has returned to Rutgers University as an Adjunct Professor in Landscape Architecture teaching the Sophomore Landscape Architecture Design Studio. Tom is currently involved with the Highland Park Main Street Program and was the Co-Chair of the Greenstreets Committee from 2003 to 2005. Tom is a member in the American Society of Landscape Architects and is a Certified Landscape Architect in the State of New Jersey.
Lynn A. Yahia, Principal
Lynn Yahia is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Architecture where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture. While at UVA, Lynn was elected Undergraduate Vice-President of the Student Alliance of Landscape Architecture and served as the student representative to the American Society of Landscape Architects Annual Meeting. Her professional experience includes work with Lawrence T. Whitlock Associates, Landscape Architects, Planners and Consulting Engineers prior to joining Melillo & Bauer Associates in 1983. Lynn is a member in the American Society of Landscape Architects and was the 1995 Graphics Chair for the New Jersey Chapter Annual Meeting. Currently, she produces graphic pieces for many of the events sponsored by the NJASLA. Lynn is a Certified Landscape Architect in New Jersey as well as a Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of New York.
Jason Tronco, Associate
Jason Tronco is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. Jason joined Melillo & Bauer Associates in 1998 and is currently heading the Municipal Consulting Division of the firm. He has been instrumental in the development of many Municipal Recreation and Open Space Master Plans. Jason is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and is a Certified Landscape Architect in the state of New Jersey.
Scott Wainwright, Associate
Scott Wainwright is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he received a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture (MLA). While at Virginia Tech, he was one of two students selected for a summer internship with the Central Park Conservancy, NYC. Upon graduation, Scott returned to the Central Park Conservancy to assist in the completion of the West Side Restoration project. Other professional work experience includes work with Halsted Welles Associates before joining Melillo & Bauer Associates, Inc. in 1998. Mr. Wainwright is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a Certified Landscape Architect in the State of New Jersey.
Robert G. Heilig
Bob Heilig is a graduate of West Virginia University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture. His professional experience includes work with The Kling Partnership in Philadelphia and, more recently, as the Director of Site Planning and Chairman of the Entertainment Division at CUH2A, a multidisciplinary design firm in Princeton, NJ. Bob has been with Melillo + Bauer Associates for the past 5 years. He is a Certified Landscape Architect in New Jersey as well as a Licensed Landscape Architect in the States of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Montana. Bob is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and brings over 35 years of experience to our clients and their projects. |
